nickgrono.org is the website for Nick Grono’s book, How to Lead Nonprofits. It is operated by Cambiar Leadership Limited, trading as Purpose Advisers a company registered in England and Wales (no. 16469386) (“Purpose Advisers”, “we”, “us”). Purpose Advisers is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. This policy explains what we do with that data.
What we collect from this website
Nothing you type. There is no form on this site. The only way to contact us is by email, using the address we have published.
Standard technical data. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes limited technical information for every visit — your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, protect it from attack, and produce aggregate visitor counts. It is not used to identify you or to build a profile.
Our lawful basis for this is legitimate interests: operating a website securely, and understanding at a coarse level how many people visit.
If you email us
If you write to info@leadnonprofits.org we will hold your message, your email address and anything you choose to tell us, so that we can reply and keep a record of the exchange. Our email is provided by Google Workspace.
We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful, and no longer than three years after our last contact unless there is a legal reason to keep it. We do not add anyone to a mailing list from an email exchange, and we do not sell or share contact details with anyone.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, including booksellers. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery and security
- Google — email (Google Workspace) and web fonts (Google Fonts)
Both operate internationally, so data may be processed outside the UK. Both provide contractual safeguards for international transfers of the kind UK data protection law requires.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or ask us to restrict its use. There is no charge and we will respond within one month.
Write to info@leadnonprofits.org.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. See our cookie notice for the detail.
Changes
We will update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
